About John B. Richards

For the past 30 years John has made Santa Barbara his home. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara, he attended the University of La Verne College of Law where he obtained his law degree. In 1995, John joined the State Bar of California and began his practice in Santa Barbara.

John is an active member of the community and devotes considerable time to various organizations such as the Santa Barbara Sister Cities Board, which furthers community advancement.

A doting father to his children, John loves biking to work, improving his tennis game, and enjoys attending live musical performances. He is a proud supporter of the UCSB Arts and Lectures program.

Choosing to keep his practice small, the Law Office of John B. Richards accepts only cases he can personally represent. John’s hands-on approach, attention to detail, commitment to success, and personal care for his clients has made him one of the most respected lawyers in Santa Barbara County.
